Linda Machado is a professional Flamenco & Spanish dancer who has performed in concert halls, theatres, museums, restaurants and night clubs throughout the Southwest.  A former member of  Daniel de Córdoba Bailes Españoles dance company, Ms. Machado now  performs and studies independently throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico and California.

Las Lindas Spanish Dance Ensemble, of which Ms. Machado is co-founder and sole proprietor, has been disbanded and Ms. Machado will be performing both solo and with other notable artists throughout the Valley as well as debuting her new performance company, Danzas de España. Danzas de España is a unique company in that it utilizes the finest available professional artists, as well as students, on a constantly changing basis which guarantees a fresh approach to programming.

A second-generation Portuguese-American whose family hails from the Azores, Ms. Machado has begun a journey back, exploring her Iberian roots, with a goal to promote and preserve as much of the rich Iberian culture as possible.  She does this through her web-site boutique, "Iberia...Óle!"

Ms. Machado was introduced to Spanish Dance by Daniel de Córdoba and went on to study Flamenco with many well-known national and International Flamenco artists including Javier de la Torre, Omayra Amaya, Antonio Hidalgo, Yaelisa, Monica Bermudez, Lydia Torea and Joaquin Enciñas.

Ms. Machado spent three years as an artist with Young Audiences of Greater Dallas, conducting numerous school programs and residencies throughout Texas, was associated with the Northeast Tarrant County Arts Council as a Flamenco instructor. She currently is a Roster Artist for the Arizona Commission on the Arts and a Mentor with Free Arts of Arizona.

Ms. Machado continues to study Flamenco and Spanish Classical dance on a professional level with only the best artists and teachers in this country and from abroad, while performing as extensively as possible in all venues, fulfilling her desire to share the culture of Hispania with people of all ages.
